Oh so baby hungry!

Now that my baby is THREE the realization hit me that I don't have a baby in the house anymore, nor do I have one on the way. At my job we have newborns come in EVERY day. It is almost more than i can bare! I just want to scoop them up and hug on their precious newborn-ness. More often than not they are twin newborns, something that I would LOVE to have. I have the worst case of baby hungriness....what is a girl to do? Chris has announced on MANY occasions that we are D. O. N. E.

But how do I crave my appetite for a baby in my arms? It seems that ALL of the blogs that I am following lately are expecting or recently had a baby. So I read their blogs with a coveting look on my face and just take it all in. Luckily I have a few baby nephews and nieces that are simply delightful that I can just eat up every time I see them. So I guess that for now I will resist the urges that I feel, when a newborn comes into the office, of scooping them up kissing their sweet heads and smelling the goodness of the baby smell that they omit. Can you imagine the look that their mothers might give me? SIGH.

You are funny! I can relate, a little. My cousin had a 3 day old baby when I was in Ohio this weekend and it was so sweet to hold him for a bit ... but unlike you, I'm glad to not have one to come home to. I'm DONE. :)

I'm a bit baby hungry too. We aren't "done" I don't think, but I know we aren't "ready" right now. lol But when we are, you can hug and cuddle and even change diapers--at 2am! ;)

Welcome back to the blogging world! I'm so glad Chris found a job, congratulations! It's nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Oh, what pediatrician's office do you work at?

Is there a job where you CAN hug and kiss all the newness of baby life? I want that job too. No babies on my blog. Maybe we could start a help group!

You need to get a volunteer job at the hospital in the nursery, that way you can get your baby fix. I hate the newborn stage, so you can take care of mine for me in July. Let me tell you about having newborn twins. To sum it up, their whole first year was a total blur.

Dear Jen,

Have a baby. Tell Chris that he doesn't have an option.

Oh and you can raise ours for the first 4 months! Deal!

Aww. The night before last I said to Danny, "You want to take a guess at what the twins are." And he said, "Two boys." I said, "How could you say something so awful?" He said, "You know there are 7. I'm not convinced. We both know there is a little girl waiting. The only way for there to be 7 is if she's not in there. So, there's two boys."

He was right. rascal.

But if these happen to be fraternal twins, there is a 50% chance the next pregnancy will be fraternal twins too. hahahaha

Come hang out with us in about 4 months. You can hug and kiss and sniff these twins all you want. :)

Oh, and just to clarify, I am very happy to have twin boys. I just had my heart set on buying a pink carseat and making tiny beaded socks. And since I know there's a little girl waiting for us, I'm also anxious to meet her.
