Yep, that's right...PIE! I don't know if any of you knew this but yesterday was national pie day. What a marvelous thing to give an entire day of recognition to!!! I LOVE PIE! My favorites are cream pies, but you can't beat a great fresh peach pie either!!! I found out about this holiday from another blog friend (thanks Momza!) and decided that we have had enough gloom and doom at our house and needed a reason to have a party. So I called up some of my wonderful friends and said "come over for a pie party!" We made it a whole family affair, so there were lots of loud children running around...but everyone had a great time! Everyone brought a pie to contribute to pot and we all stuffed our faces! I want to kiss the person that invented such a glorious day!

Pie day huh? Who knew?
Well, I am sorry to say that it's not really Pie day, but March 14 is Pi day. You know the mathematical constant 3.14. But to make things happier, there is a real National Pie day on January 23rd. So hey, you can have pie on both days. :)
It was a really great idea. I don't think you need a special day anyway to have pie, pie is fabulous any old time.
It was good to see you at Katy's reception. When we come into town next time, we will spend some time together.

But who wants to celebrate THAT kind of PI???? Not me!!! So I decided to change the spelling of it and say PIE day! Good to know that there is another 'PIE' day in the year to celebrate!!!
