Our son has taken up the art of drawing and might I add that he is an amazing artist for the age of two! Now if only he could find a different form of canvas to create his masterpieces on!!!
SERIOUSLY can I tell you how white trash our home looks right now?! And here is the BEST part...it is all permanent marker! I have tried everything to get it off, even the Magic erasers and it is just taking paint off the wall....but not the marker! QUICK, does anyone out in blogging land have a secret that will take it off? I know the obvious answer, to just paint over it...but what happens the next time Mr. Vangough decides to strike again?

I added some pictures for your enjoyment...keep in mind that each picture is a DIFFERENT wall! These pictures just don't do his 'artwork' justice. SIGH.

Oh my. That is a serious artist you have there. SO glad you took pictures of his work. Maybe he can use it for his portfolio in the future.
As far as removing it...first, go around and get everything single pen, crayons, marker, etc., you can find, THEN paint over it. I say this from experience.
Oh man...i don't know what to say except I agree with Momza...removed every single pen etc that does not say WASHABLE on it.
Wow! He's got some talent! I wish you could see the house we grew up in. It was under constant remodel and the walls were COVERED with crayon and marker...from floor to ceiling. My poor mom. :)
Gotta love it! Although, it could be a lot worse. He could be poop painting.
ug i know how you feel my oldest is learning to write her ABC's and if she finds a crayon, but cant find paper then the walls will do, so i have A's and S's and X's and other various letters ALL OVER THE PLACE!! best of luck..
I'm so sorry. You'll probably have to paint over it. Let me know if you find a better solution.
Check out my blog. I posted some pictures for you.
HA HA HA!!! That's funny. I have no advice, just laughter sorry. The pictures are great! They're beautiful and work as birth control too! ;) I'm sorry, but it's adorable/incredibly funny. Keep the pics to rub in his face later.
Hilarious!!!!! I am only laughing because my walls are starting to look the same with little Miss Mya. Love Love Love it, you have a little Picasso on your hands!
Oh my! He certainly likes to color! Wish I had some magic way to clean it off, but I think you're stuck painting... Good luck! Oh, and Bre, you're hilarious!
My sister, the one who is your mom's age, banned permanent markers from the house. Meanwhile, have you tried those Mr. Clean magic sponge things? I don't know if it will work but it might.
My suggestion: Don't let him draw on the walls!!!
Ryan
Leave it to Ryan to state the obvious. Just remember Jen, when Kade gets into his artist mode, Ry will have to contend with this too!
Maybe if you gave Faise one specific place to color and then covered that wall with butcher paper, he would have his own homemade easel. In the meantime, holler when you break out the paint and brushes. If I am around I will come running
Mom
I agree with your mom, but I have a slightly different solution. There is paint that is called chalkboard paint. You can paint the bottom half of one wall in his room, and just always have chalk on hand. Then you can take pictures of the pictures, and just erase them off! Way fun, the trick will be to explain to him that it is only for that wall. Or just only to use chalk, cause that washes off easy. :)

dearest helpless in trashville, I may have a solution.....I have some stuff that works on most things...I shall bring it over and try it...also the old fashion toothpaste...not the gel works with crayon...so I'm not sure about permanent marker....ask Joli she got some marker out of her couch...signed...Abbie!!! lol
Wow! I would totally be going razy!! Have you ever thought about throwing all permanent markers away. You know me - they'd be trash and FAST!! Now you know why I'm always touching up paint in our home. It's not marker for us, just nicks and scratches! GOOD LUCK!!
hahahahaha! Sorry but that looks like MY house. And in our home, it was the youngest as well that decorated it. I have heard that toothpaste works. I'll try it now and let you know.
Have you tried some all fabric in hot water....how about fabric spot remover? Buddy got some permanent marker off our kitchen cabinets when one of the kids got creative...I'll have to ask him what he did (being a chemical engineer and all!!!
WOW !I did it too when I was a child !haha !
Wow, what an artist. Maybe you could just cover your walls with paper. You will probably have to just paint over it. Good excuse for a fun project, eh?
Good luck!
