Admiration

I know that I don't say it enough, but I have such a huge amount of love and admiration for this man that I am married to! He has had a really tough couple of weeks and I have been so impressed with the Christ like way he as handled things!
He has been dealt a pretty challenging thing and instead of getting even, or using this as a time to bad mouth someone that easily deserves it, he has chosen to take the higher road. I so respect him for this. It is hard to watch someone you love so much be hurt by others and feel powerless to help.
Chris is one of the most talented and hard working men I know. He has so much to offer as an employee and it just sucks that not everyone has the eye's to recognize it.
Babe, I love you more and more each day and I know that for whatever reason the Lord needed us to go through this hopefully brief trial.
I am so proud of you and feel lucky to be your wife! You are STILL my Hottie with a Naughty Body!

Halloween Party Time!!!

Last night Chris and I went to a neighborhood party that was such a BLAST!!! We were all required to dress up and boy does this neighborhood take that challenge on with a vengeance. Everyone looked so awesome! Chris and I went as Jack the Pumpkin King and Sally. We borrowed our costumes from Amy (thanks Aim!) I made a DARLING cake that I took as our food contribution...you can see it on my cake blog.
The first thing we did is load everyone into cars and drive to a local Laser Tag place and played laser tag.....what a blast that was! Then we ate and played games. Then we came back to the host's home and played some more games, ate some more and visited some more.
Oh how I love the people in this neighborhood! They are such amazing and fun people. I feel so blessed to be making the friends that we are. I just love, love, love them! Me and Jack
Me as Sally

My friend Lisa as Malificent.....just love her (and her costume)

AAAAhhhhhhhh!
Thank you, thank you Stringham's for inviting us and for being such fun hosts! You guys rock!

"I'll get you my pretty!"

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to entertain! I look for any reason to have a party....this was the second year that I threw a WITCHES party, I wasn't sure how this would go over in my new neighborhood but I wanted to give it a try. Let's face it, a party is a great way for me to make friends. So I gave it a try, and it was a SUCCESS! I had a blast planning the party and decorating for it.

I borrowed this coffin from a neighbor and we used it to serve out of it..... it was so cool.

Everyone contributed to the meal... soups, appetizers and desserts.

I made some cupcakes that I tried to make look like Witches hats.

One of our activities was a road ralley/scavenger hunt. We divided into two teams and off we went with our list of thing that we had to take pics of.
A scary yard scene.

Something spiritual.

Search in a grocery store for random items.

Trick or treat a home.

A pic with multiple pumpkins.

A cute shot of Connie

The winning team....minus Dani, who jumped in the pic at the last minute.

A tombstone.

A flag from your favorite team.

Crazy Lisa and cute Amy

All the gang together. Thanks to everyone who came and helped make this a great evening!

Yep ANOTHER milestone!

This past weekend Chris and I hit mile number........ I seriously can't believe that we have been married for 14 years! Time really does fly by in an instant! Can I just say how completely and totally in love I am with this EXTREMELY good looking, wonderful and amazing man! Babe I love you and I am so looking forward to the years to come! You are and forever will be my Hottie With a Naughty Body!

We look so young!

This is a horrible self taken shot of us at dinner..... oh well. Chris took me to Tuscany for dinner (the restaurant, not the city....hmmmmm....maybe next year?!)

I told him to give me a sexy shot....boy did he deliver! LOL

A two week celebration

Yes the 'Mile' has been reached!!!!!

My friends have a tradition of extending a birthday out for a week or even two....well this was the case for me this year (and might I add that I totally recommend it!)

There was NO WAY I was going to make my own birthday cake, so like mother's always do, mine came to the rescue and bought me this darling little mini cake. Isn't it cute?
My friend Kristen surprised me by inviting some of my new neighborhood friends to lunch with us. We went to Zupas! YUM!
Then that night Chris and I ate and one of my favorites and definitely a birthday tradition for me....The Bombay house! I don't even need to look at the menu....I always get the same things: Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan and a Mango Lassi (a smoothie type drink). I love this place!
Then last week Jen and Jodi took me to lunch at Olive Garden (are you kidding me that we didn't take a single picture???? What were we thinking?) Thanks girls it was fantastic!
Then last night (yep two weeks later, still celebrating) Amy and Kristen took me out for the traditional birthday dinner and a movie. We ate at Cheesecake Factory and then had some time to kill so we went over to Tai Pan and looked around for Halloween decor. I found this DARLING witch's hat, but it was like $35 and I'm not about to spend that on a hat that I can only wear once a year! It was pretty stinkin cute though!

Cheesecake Factory!!!!!!!

Gifts from my friends! Amy gave me a DARLING hat and Kristen gave me some awesome jewelry. Thanks friends!
The movie we 'tried' to see was Easy A, cause it was an earlier show....it was so LAME and painful, we walked out after about 25 min. and went to a different show "You Again" that one was much better than the first. The best part for me though was taking these hilarious pics!

Not sure what is going on in this one. LOL

Kristen wanted to see how much popcorn we could stuff in our mouth.

......and under our nose.

I always have such a fun time with my friends! A huge thanks to all my family and friends that made my two week birthday so fun!!!!!

Andrea's dresses

My darling cousin Andrea is getting married in Oct. so she has been shopping around for wedding dresses and she so kindly invited me and some of the other female family members to go with her. What a blast we have had shopping with her! I took pictures of her in the three favorites and since there is no way of Ang to see them as she makes her decisions I decided to post them on my blog so that she could have access to them. So JORDAN (the groom) if you are reading this STOP NOW!!!!
Let me just say that the pictures really don't do any of these dresses justice....you just have to see them in person to fully appreciate them!

Dress #1
This dress is so elegant! Andrea was EXTREMELY uncomfortable in it at first because it is pretty immodest. But the gal helping us brought out some things that they would add to the dress to make it 'temple appropriate', then Ang was MUCH happier. A view from behind...this didn't have the added material in it to raise the back up. I wish that we had fluffed out the train before taking this....it kind of looks sloppy. Oh well, it was beautiful!
This is what the dress looks like without the alterations. So they would add sleeves to it and raise the neckline.
I think that she really likes this dress, but she is nervous about buying it, making the alterations and then not having it turn out the way she was hoping and being stuck with a dress that she was not in love with.
DRESS #2
You can't tell, but this dress was stunning on her figure.
We LOVED the back 'bum' area. :-)
With the veil on.
DRESS #3
This dress just took our breath away when she walked out. Again, the pics don't do it justice. It was so unique, not a style that I have ever seen before.
The back
I just loved the train on this one.You could tell that she felt just like a princess in it.

She has a pretty tough decision in front of her. Whatever dress she chooses though, I know she will look just beautiful in it!
