Baptism booklet

I am super excited about this! The week before a child gets baptized I go to their house and go over a few things with the child and their parents. I go over things that they need to know about the day they are baptized and answer any questions they are their parents might have. I also introduce them to the scouting/activity days program. I wanted to take them something special and have been racking my brains about what I could give them. Last week I went to our monthly scrapbook night with the ladies and we made these darling Hot chocolate recipe books, they were super cute! I have always prided myself on being the world's best copy cat...I rarely come up with original ideas, my brain just doesn't function like that! So when I saw this little recipe book I thought "How can I turn this into a baptism theme". Well this is what I came up with.... they are seriously the cutest thing eva! For the boys I will have to make a few changes, like adding a male paper doll. They are only about 5 1/2"X 7 1/2", so they are perfect size for the kids to be able to look at. There are places for them to put pictures and answer questions about this special day. I have already had four people request that I make one for their child (they aren't in my ward). I think for the other ones that I will modge podge over the top of it (before I add anything dimensional) this way it will be waterproof and more durable. Take a look and tell me what you think! Taelynn gets baptized!!!

Yesterday was such a great day! Taelynn, we are so proud that you made the choice to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We know that your Heavenly Father is so happy that you made this important decision.

It really was such a special day for our little Taelynn.
I feel so blessed to be married to a man that is worthy to perform such sacred ordinances for our family.

Dressed and ready to go (well after we fixed her jumpsuit, I guess I put it on her backwards at first...these things should come with instructions!)

Taelynn and Danka (my dad)

Our family (again Faze wasn't cooperating)

We had this at the baptism for everyone that was in attendance to sign. I thought that this would be a fun way for Taelynn to remember all those that helped celebrate this special day with her.

Taelynn's photo shoot

I am soooo proud of myself! On Saturday I took Taelynn out to have her pictures taken of her in her new baptism dress. She is getting baptized this Saturday, so I wanted to take some pictures so that Chris could make a baptism announcement. We took her to the top of Alpine Loop and then to Thanksgiving point. I took 150 pictures!!! There were so many cute ones that I decided to make a video of the photos set to music. These were just a FEW of some of my favorites. I uploaded the video that I made to youtube and have the link below so you can go and view it. Enjoy! DISCLAIMER...I am NOT a professional photographer OR movie maker, so please don't be too harsh in the comments! I am very happy with how they turned out...not to bad for using my cute little pink Sony camera! (Plus it was FREE! Always a plus!!!) I really tried to think out of the box and be creative with the shots (Thanks Bekki for inspiring me!) Of course it always helps to have a beautiful subject matter!!! Tae was such a trooper and really didn't need to be coached, I guess she is a natural model (lucky her).
